Why is deflation so feared? Seems when the economy slows, people have trouble paying loans, must abandon assets, thus driving down prices. Anyway, it's a game of musical chairs. (It is predicted that people in their forties today will start retiring in a wave, shortly. They are, today, working hard, buying homes, toys, college educations ... Having retired, they will stop driving the economy.) When this happens, who will have a house they can keep? Who will have a job they can keep? What can you do about it? Ride it out!!!
